starting afresh

Three days into the new job and it's been a breath of fresh air--just great! I can already feel the energy, the challenge, the excitement. It's wonderful. Having been holed in a high-walled cubicle for 2.5 years, I wondered if I would be able to adjust to an open concept office where I wouldn't have the privacy to sneak a few winks of sleep or check the mirror for eye dirt :P I actually don't mind the open concept as there's lots of buzz and the laughter from my colleagues infects the whole office. I suppose the noise helps to keep me awake too. But maybe I won't say the same when I have to concentrate on some important task! Akan datang.

What's great about this place? I'm free to be myself, I have the licence to be wacky wild funky creative, I can approach my really cool and easygoing boss for guidance whenever and whatever, and everyone smiles and laughs alot. There is PASSION, PURPOSE, HUMILITY and SINCERITY. And because of all this, there is buzz and more importantly, meaning. It's not about the money, but being happy doing what I'm doing and getting a gentle rush in my veins on the way to work. As the big boss says as she passes my desk and smiles, "Cool". Yes, COOL indeed. I can't wait.
